I would put them in the same suit, however if you wanted him to stand out a little, you could have him in a different patterned or colored vest and tie than the other guys.

Yes, you can wear the same suit but maybe the groomsman’s tie would be the same colour as the bridesmaid’s dress.
They can have identical suits if they want to do that. The groom usually has a different boutonniere than the grooms men
